Ikano Bank

Ikano Bank started out as IKEA’s own bank. Ikano Bank is now a separate company but partly owned by IKEA’s owner; Ingka Group. The bank has close ties to IKEA, which is clear from one of its key offerings: IKEA Kort (“IKEA Card”), the store card made especially for IKEA customers.

The card gives you a credit limit of up to NOK 150 000 at IKEA. For any purchase over NOK 2 500 you may select the “buy now, pay later” installment to postpone the payment by up to 12 months. You can also split big purchases, like a new kitchen, into smaller monthly payments. IKEA Kort even has special offers where you can get a discount on your IKEA purchases.

Ikano Bank also offers the Ikano Visa credit card, with a 2 % discount in grocery stores worldwide and 2 % discount at all Norwegian Shell gas stations. Visit the website here.

Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card gives you cash back on all purchases, but Amazon and Amazon-related services are where it really shines. The credit card comes in two types: the Amazon Rewards Visa Card and the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card. The latter gives more cash back if you are an Amazon Prime member.

The Prime card gives you 5 % back when you shop on Amazon or Whole Foods Market. This is quite a substantial amount if you shop at these sites a lot. There are even special offers where you earn up to 10 % back on your Amazon purchases.

Both credit cards are issued by JPMorgan Chase Bank.

Hotels.com Rewards Visa Credit Card

Hotels.com Rewards Visa Credit Card allows you to earn more bonus nights at Hotels.com. Members of the Hotels.com can earn bonus nights through the site’s stamp system.
