SUMMARY:Masterclass: Purpose & Performance Program - HEC Paris
DESCRIPTION:Location: Online\nContact: hecinfo@hec.fr\nRead more here!\nRegister here!\n\nIn executive circles\, the word “purpose” often triggers skepticism. Too frequently\, it remains a narrative statement with limited operational impact\, or worse\, a source of confusion and misalignment. \nYet when properly activated\, purpose can become a powerful driver of performance.\nJoin us on July 2nd at 12:00 PM (CET)\, for an online masterclass addressing a critical question: how can organizations move from purpose as intent to purpose as a lever for measurable performance? \nThis session will be led by Rodolphe Durand\, Professor at HEC Paris\, whose research explores how purpose-driven strategies can unlock collective action and create sustainable competitive advantage. Drawing on the work of the HEC Paris Purpose Center\, this masterclass confronts the paradox of purpose head-on. It identifies the common pitfalls that undermine purpose initiatives and provides a structured framework to align purpose with leadership\, governance\, and execution. \nGo to top

SUMMARY:Leadership Excellence through Awareness and Practice | Info session - INSEAD
DESCRIPTION:Date: 16 July 2026\nDuration: 10:00 am – 11:00am CEST\nLocation: Online\nContact: https://www.insead.edu/about-insead/get-touch?_ref=finder\nRead more here!\nRegister here!\n\nLeaders face a continuous barrage of prescriptions – books\, talks and programmes urge them to develop visions\, listen to their teams\, stay the course in hard times\, and communicate. Most leaders know this. Few report that this ‘knowledge’ solves their problems. \nINSEAD’s Leadership Excellence through Awareness and Practice (LEAP) programme is designed to help senior leaders bridge this gap. \nThis six-month journey\, including three residential modules with individual and group work\, focuses less on telling leaders what to do differently; instead\, it enables them to explore how they can be different\, to the benefit of themselves\, their teams\, and their organisations. A central focus of the programme is supporting participants in shifting behaviours in areas that will provide the greatest leverage for their leadership impact. \nDuring the session\, Narayan Pant\, Programme Director\, will share insights into the LEAP experience\, its learning approach\, and the transformational outcomes participants can expect. Pamela Heo\, Programme Advisor\, will be able to answer any questions you may have about the programme\, as well as the application and admissions process. \nGo to top

SUMMARY:Using AI For Academic Research - CBS Workshop by Professors Jesse Schreger and Malek Ben Sliman
DESCRIPTION:Date: Monday\, July 27\, 2026\nDuration: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM EDT\nContact: https://business.columbia.edu/contact\nRead more here!\nRegister here!\n\n\n\n\n\nFollowing in the footsteps of a very successful workshop on accelerating academic research with AI by Santiago Balsiero and a couple of his colleagues at Google (recording and slides will follow soon)\, we are planning a series of additional workshops on using AI for academic research in the summer and fall. Our next workshop is a two-session workshop led by\, our very own\, Professors Jesse Schreger and Malek Ben Sliman. The first session (June 24) will focus on an introduction to AI tools for academic research (with an emphasis on Claude). The second session (July 27) will build on the first session and will serve as a hands-on workshop where faculty and doctoral students can bring their own research ideas and data sources to advance their research project\, with guidance\, during the workshop (see details below). We will record this two-session workshop and possibly repeat it in the fall\, if there is sufficient demand\, for those who missed it over the summer. Looking forward to seeing over the summer in these workshops\, AIB and VDR Session 1 – Introduction to Using AI Tools For Academic Research – June 24 2:00-4:00pm Summary: In this session\, we will cover installing and configuring Claude Code\, the different ways to work with it (terminal\, IDE integration\, GUID)\, pricing and Columbia’s access\, model selection\, and the key operating modes (plan\, accept edits\, auto\, skip-permissions). We’ll address data sharing and privacy concerns. We will demonstrate how to integrate Claude Code to your workflow across different programming languages (i.e. R\, Stata\, Python). We will also discuss version control and how to utilize git with Claude. In addition\, we will provide suggested “assignments” for coming prepared with your own data to execute your own research in the second session. Takeaways: The goal is to walk out with Claude Code installed and integrated into a research workflow alongside existing tools (Stata\, R\, Python)\, with a clear sense of how to start using it for one’s own research. Who is this for: this session is primarily designed for faculty who haven’t yet integrated Claude Code into their day-to-day. Heavier users are welcome but might find session 2 more useful. Those who skip this introductory session should make sure they are prepared to participate in the second session. Session 2 – Using AI in Your Research – July 27th 11:00am-4:00pm Summary: In this session\, faculty will execute their own research in real-time using AI tools. Participants will share their ongoing progress and challenges with the group throughout the session. The goal is to see how close to a real research result participants can get during this extended workshop. In addition\, this session will introduce more advanced ways to Claude Code in research. Specifically\, we will discuss how to extend Claude Code with MCPs\, subagents\, skills\, plugins and API calls. We will help participants learn to work remotely and collectively using Claude Code (e.g.\, remote control\, Claude in the Grid\, tmux/zellij/cmux). This is an interactive workshop and time will be provided to help troubleshoot any issue one might encounter. Takeaways: The goal is to leave the workshop knowing how to produce original academic research with an agent-based workflow. Ideally\, some of you will even have a new result to build on for a full academic paper. Who is this for: Anyone interested in using AI for research. We hope that advanced users also attend to share their workflow and discuss research methods with their colleagues. \n\n\n\n\n\nGo to top

SUMMARY:Masterclass: Strategic Decision-Making In Unpredictable Times - HEC Paris
DESCRIPTION:Date: September 24\, 2026\nDuration: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM\nLocation: Scandic Continental\, Vasagatan 22\, 111 20 Stockholm\nContact: hecinfo@hec.fr\nRead more here!\nRegister here!\n\nIn today’s world\, the real competitive advantage isn’t strategy alone\, it’s how leaders make decisions under uncertainty. \nAs the world becomes more uncertain\, something fundamental shifts. At one end of the spectrum\, you can analyse the data\, model the options\, and make the right call. At the other end\, the data doesn’t exist yet\, it won’t exist until after you’ve already had to act. In that world\, the only thing you can design is how fast your organisation can sense\, adapt\, and move. Most leaders are somewhere in between\, and the most common\, and costly\, mistake is not knowing where. \nApplying precise analytical tools when the situation demands scenario thinking. Waiting for clarity that will never come when you should already be acting. Using yesterday’s decision architecture for today’s level of uncertainty. \nThis masterclass gives you the frameworks to recognise where you are on that spectrum\, and to lead accordingly. It is practical decision architecture\, grounded in leadership psychology and behavioural science\, and immediately applicable in executive committees and board discussions. \nProfessor Matt Mulford worked with leadership teams across industries\, helping them reduce bias in strategic investments\, redesign decision processes for high-stakes situations\, and build the kind of strategic conviction that holds under pressure without becoming rigid. \nGo to top
